MANILA - Three brothers were among five people arrested by anti-narcotics authorities in a weekend buy-bust operation in Bogo City in Cebu province, police reports said Sunday.
Brothers Joel, Benjie and Jovy Sumabong were nabbed along with Louie Ortega and Mark Pelayo on Saturday morning in Brgy. Malingin, Bogo City in Cebu, said reports reaching Camp Crame.
Raiders seized from the five men six large packs of methampethamine hydrocholoride ('shabu') with an estimated street value of P649,000; a fragmentation grenade, several firearms and ammunition, reports said.
The police also seized a multi-cab vehicle (ATT-8397) used by the suspects in their trade in illegal drugs.
The suspects and seized goods are now in the custody of the police, who are readying charges against them.
